The following is a list of some Wal-Mart requirements applicable to product you may produce. These requirements apply to ALL children’s products purchased for sale beginning in the Fall of 2008 in Wal-Mart Stores and Sam’s Club in the US. The following requirements are not exhaustive. For a complete list of requirements and test protocols, please refer to the contact list.

In addition, the United States Congress is in the process of enacting laws covering both chemical limits and overall toy safety. It is your responsibility as a supplier to monitor all legislation and to produce product that complies with all laws and Wal-Mart requirements, whichever is more stringent.

Lead & Other Heavy Metals

· Children’s Products (except jewelry, food contact material, art materials & packaging) MAY NOT contain the following heavy metals in excess of the limits specified below

· Surface Coatings

· Total Lead: surface coatings on children’s products MAY NOT contain total lead in excess of 90 part per million (“ppm”)

· Other Heavy Metals: surface coatings on children’s products MAY NOT contain the following heavy metals in excess of the limits specified below:

· Mercury—60 ppm soluble （汞—可溶性含量不超过百万分之60）

· Total Lead: the substrate (plastic, wood, metal, rubber, etc.) of any accessible
component of a children’s product MAY NOT contain total lead in excess of 600 ppm

· Children’s Jewelry MAY NOT contain total lead in excess of the following limits:

Children’s Products for Children Under 3 MAY NOT contain the following phthalates in excess of % (1000 ppm):

· Accessible Components of All Other Children’s Products MAY NOT contain the following phthalates in excess of % (1000 ppm):

· Packaging; the above phthalate requirements WILL APPLY to reusable/ secondary packaging.

· Manufacturers must use the least toxic alternative;

· Cannot replace with a substance rated by the US EPA as an A, B, or C carcinogen, or known by the US EPA to cause birth defects; and
· 不可以用US EPA 中可致癌的A、B或C类物质替代，也不可使用US EPA已知所能引起先天缺陷的物质替代。
· Cannot replace with a substance on the California Proposition 65 list.
· 也不可以用加利福尼亚州提议65中限制的物质替代。
Traceability Information可追溯信息
· Date Code/Lot Code—Wal-Mart encourages the placement of traceability information meeting the following requirements on all children’s products;
· 日子印/货号印—沃尔玛鼓励在所有的儿童类产品中加上可追溯的内容以满足以下要求：
· A date code or lot code sufficient to determine the day and year of production; and
· 清楚的生产日子印或货号印以测定生产的日期与年份以及
· A date code or lot code sufficient to determine the location (factory) of production, if the product was made in more than one location.
· 对同一产品在不止一个生产地时可以利用清楚的生产日子印或货号印以测定生产的地点（厂家）
· Date Code/Lot Code Placement:

· Date Code/Lot Code should appear on the product and the package; OR
· 生产日子印/货号印应加在产品和包装的裸露面上；或
· Date Code/Lot Code should be placed on the product only, if:

· Product does not come in a package; or
· 产品本身没有包装；或
· Date Code/Lot Code is easily visible through the packaging.
