However, the high risks of ocean voyage are challenging life every second. Therefore, Quanzhou has a story faith in Goddess Mazu, the Goddess of ocean who protects sailors. Zhenwu Temple, Tianhou Shrine and sea god temples along Jiangkou dock are typical heritage of this kind.
