Background
The Wharf (Holdings) Limited (SEHK: 0004) is a leading listed property investment company in Hong Kong. Underpinned by strong recurrent earnings and value creation opportunities originating from flagship properties Harbour City and Times Square, the Company also has diverse business interest in the areas of CME (communications, media and entertainment) and China operations. The Company has five core brands, namely, the two flagship property brands, i-CABLE and Wharf T&T from the CME operation as well as Modern Terminals from the China division. The development of these core brands will steer the Company’s future investments in Hong Kong and China.
Founded in 1886, the Company was previously known as The Hongkong & Kowloon Wharf and Godown Company, Limited. It was renamed The Wharf (Holdings) Limited in 1986 in conjunction with its centenary celebration.
