In October 2013 the question whether the European sovereign debt crisis is over or not is still hard to answer. Newspaper headlines remain contradictory. Whereas the Financial Times (2013) sees the “Eurozone (…) exiting from the worst economic crisis in decades”, EconoMonitor (2013) announces “the return of Europe’s debt crisis”.
