项目与项目管理
项目是一个特殊的将被完成的有限任务,它是在一定时间内,满足一系列特定目标的多项相关工作的总称。
项目管理就是把各种知识、技能、手段和技术应用于项目活动之中,以达到项目的要求。

The purpose of this slide is to serve as an introduction to the demo. The Microsoft Project 2002 product suite is designed to address many types of user roles within an organization.
Starting from left to right:
Stakeholders – Executive stakeholders and line managers are concerned about the health of their project portfolio. They do not need a copy of Microsoft Project on their desktop, but rather they gain access to portfolio management tools like the Project Center, Portfolio Analyzer and Modeler through Microsoft Project Web Access, a portal view to Project Server, which allows them to quickly spot problem areas and take corrective action.
Team Members – Team members also access project information through Microsoft Project Web Access. We’ve added many new collaboration features to increase team member commitment and involvement throughout the lifecycle of projects. In addition to reporting progress on work, they can now identify issues and documents which relate to projects and tasks. The new e-mail notification system helps team members stay informed by automatically sending out emails to alert users to project updates, upcoming milestones, issues, etc. that contain direct links to project plans in Web Access.
Resource Managers – Resource managers need to understand the utilization of resources and the intellectual assets (. skills sets) across their organization. They use new enterprise resource management tools in Microsoft Project Professional such as Build Team from Enterprise, Resource Substitution Wizard and Resource Availability Graphs to effectively allocate resources to projects and analyze utilization across their organization.
Project Manager – Project Managers are concerned with project scheduling and costing. We continue to improve Microsoft Project to ensure we address the project management needs of our loyal base of users, project managers. We now offer experienced PMs comprehensive new and improved functionality, as well making project management easier for new PMs with the new Project Guide, smart tags and other familiar Office features.

Here’s some of our key customers with successful EPM implementations:
ING Bank—Latin America bank manages a very distributed IT workforce using EPM
Allianz Life—Part of $50+ billion Allianz AG. Allianz has used EPM as a key management tool to help them drive “operation impact” they have been able to free up more than $10M per year to allocate to more strategic projects
Peugeot-Citroen—uses EPM to manage their product development process for new automobiles
Samsung-Consumer electronics giant uses EPM in several operating divisions to manage product development and go to market process
Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories—Dr. Reddy’s is sort of the “Pfizer of India”. They manufacture many generic drugs. They have used EPM as part of their six sigma initiative to streamline and improve their drug development process
Black & Veatch—is a large engineering services firm that uses EPM to help manage their six sigma programs.
