In today business world, only two things are certain....that the business drivers will dictate change AND that the velocity of that change will increase.
Competition for customers is a race, and you will need to be FAST on your feet to meet or exceed expectations and delight those customers, to win the race by taking advantage of and act on opportunities as they arrive. Businesses must be able to act while their competitors are reacting.
Your Information Technology and Enterprise wide systems need to be not only
FAST to install, but also FAST to Reconfigure as those requirements on your firm change. FAST to initial benefit and FAST to ongoing benefit.
SSA FAST Results (sm) is just that solution you have been looking forward to.

What makes results so FAST? It is the Combination of Focus, Agility, Simplicity and Technology. The four fundamental concepts that were designed into the new architecture of BPCS Client/Server Version 6.
Without one you have a suboptimal solution, with ALL 4 and you get FAST Results!!

One of the benefits of BPCS Client/Server is that this software has a low cost of ownership throughout the life cycle of the IT investment. The software can be changed at any time to evolve with your business. Upgrades can be inherited into the system. New applications can be integrated into the environment through the use of Semantic Messaging Gateways. These are persistent messages, not fixed API. Software built upon our object framework can be continually enhanced to better serve the needs of our key industry verticals. We protect investment our customers have through platform, database, and operating system independence by generating code from a central repository to the appropriate environment.
With FAST Results(sm), client needs can be met in the Fastest time ever.

FOCUS. SSA Has always been focused by and on client success as evidenced by the over 8500 customer sites. Our software was designed for the Industrial Sector only and we concentrate on six key vertical industry segments to provide the kind of solutions that are specific to these industries for our clients to create a competitive advantage and better service their customers.

We have designed BPCS to accommodate change. To allow you to treat change as a separate project. Change is the only guarantee that youl have. You need a system that can handle and exploit it.

Manufacturing enterprises have seen four evolutionary steps over the past few decades. Traditional Cost Driven Departmental structures that resulted in high inventories and long cycle times were the start of the evolution. As Quality was added as a driver, customer service and communication improved. As competition increased, Time was added as a Driver and lead times were reduced and responsive customer focus programs were initiated.
Today, enterprises are looking at not only Cost, Quality and Time but also at Variety. They look to be able to leverage resources and take advantage of varied opportunities. This is driving high customer oriented flexibility (giving the customer the variety in what they need), the Virtual Corporation where boundaries between traditional structures are torn away, high technology and a highly trained workforce. It is driving a world of constant change. It is driving the need for Agility.

The traditional enterprise took a purely Functional view of work tasks. In this view each department, purchasing, warehousing and Accounting look at the tasks in their functional silo only. Each silo looks to maximize results inside the tasks they are defined to do and protect themselves from everyone and all tasks outside their silo.

The Process view looks at the tasks and flow needed to add value between the Purchasing, Warehouse and Accounting departments. It does maximize the process of receipt of orders in Purchasing, checking inbound inventory in Warehousing and vendor payment in Accounting. While it breaks down silo barriers between departments, it is limited to the walls of the enterprise.

The Agile view looks at the entire value chain related to the supply of the product or service. Customer processes and requirements are integrated into the manufacturers and in turn the manufacturers to its suppliers. Greater visibility, greater speed, greater efficiency.

The evolution of manufacturing enterprise business process has been tied to the systems that support those enterprises. Traditional manufacturing was supported by the ig is beautiful?world of SAP R2, COPICS and Custom system on mainframes or on manual processes with large departments. Applications were proprietary, procedural and ard-wired? Evolution went to mini- and mid-range downsized systems of which BPCS V1 through 4 were leaders in the still proprietary, procedural and ard wired?applications world. Client/Server systems like 3 and Baan were the next phase and they were on open hardware systems, but were still proprietary, procedural and ard-wired?applications that were primarily Server centric.
To be Agile, you must be Object Oriented as enables true peer to peer processing on open hardware with open applications while being message based and reconfigurable. The Distributed Shared Resources of BPCS Version 6 is just such an Agile system. The choice for agile enterprises and value chains.

BPCS was designed to be and IS simple to use and simple to change. Clients learn what they need to for FAST implementations and Fast time to benefit. They do this through use of BASIS and get FAST Results(sm).
33
BASIS and the 5 phases of BASIS implementation are simple and generate FAST Results(sm). From Project Definition to System Operation, BASIS is the key methodology to getting the fastest time to benefit. Powerful business modeling is provided by the DComp toolset and is used throughout the BASIS Implementations. BASIS has proven success whether it is a single site or a multi-national multi-site implementation.
